Optimal lighting with the right lighting concept

Who does not dream of large rooms flooded with sunlight, which guarantee brightness during the day and offer an inviting view of nature and in the evening with a well-placed lighting, harmonious mood and feel-good atmosphere to enjoy? A customized lighting design and a well thought-out lighting concept in the home increase well-being, protect health and promote productivity.

Basically, there are two types of lighting to consider when it comes to lighting. The basic light, also called working light, forms the basis of the lighting in the room. The basic lighting should provide an even distribution of brightness and serve as orientation in the dark. With the secondary lighting, the background lighting and the accent lighting, the lighting in the room gets an individual touch and can be used specifically as it is most effective for the purpose of the room and for the activities.

For example, bluish light with up to 5000 degrees Kelvin has a positive effect on productivity by boosting the production of the hormone serotonin. Bluish light is therefore well suited for the study to pursue activities that require good concentration. Reddish light on the other hand, with about 3000 degrees Kelvin has a calming effect and is well suited for the bedroom or for cozy couch evenings. The digital magazine "Das Haus Online" offers on its website a lot of information about the right light setting in the different rooms in the household. For example, optimal lighting in the living room or dining room requires different characteristics than the lighting in the attic, hallway or outdoor area, as well as in the garden.
