Tip: enlarge a small bathroom with these tricks

If you have a small bathroom, you can use simple tricks to create more openness and space. An open shower, for example, is especially recommended for a small floor plan. Tiles on the walls and floor also visually enlarge the space. When using furniture in the bathroom, it is also important to harmonize it with the floor plan. Clear lines and a simple structure bring order to the bathroom and therefore do not look as cluttered as upright chests of drawers or shelves.

Also recommended are installation walls in which the sink is located, and the water pipes appear only minimally. This creates more space in the bathroom, and the space gained can be put to good use elsewhere. In small, seemingly impractical niches can be quickly and easily install shelves that can serve as a shelf for towels or additional storage space.

When choosing materials, natural building materials lend themselves well to making the bathroom look calm and cozy. For example, wood is particularly suitable for making the bathroom look wider. Stone elements in the bathroom have the advantage of being particularly water-repellent. With a protective coating on the surfaces, even water stains are not visible and make the room look clean and calm. With good lighting, you not only bring a homely feeling to the bathroom, but with the right orientation you can also set accents and visually enlarge the space. If you also want to trick things out a bit more, you should use mirrors to enlarge the bathroom. These also enhance the feeling of being in a large room.
