Tip: roof made of slate panels and solar elements

For those who want to renovate their roof, a facade renovation with the slate system offers a good opportunity to save energy and heating costs. If you also install the appropriate solar elements between the slate panels, you can produce your own green electricity for small-scale consumption at the same time. A slate system not only offers a visually appealing, ecological and economical façade cladding, but also provides excellent insulating properties.

This is because there is mineral fiber insulation behind the slates, which keeps the heat inside the house on cold days and provides good heat protection in the summer. The metal structure of the slate system also serves as rear ventilation. Thanks to the modern plug-in system, individual slates can be easily removed. This is particularly advantageous when repair work has to be carried out on supply lines. In the event of damage, only the slate elements where the leak is located need to be removed.

The slates are available in three different sizes and formats. Solar elements can also be hooked into the construction and the support system without any problems. Should the need for solar elements increase, as more energy is required for self-consumption, slate elements can also be removed afterwards and additional solar elements can be inserted. The slate system is also convincing in the rain. Three to six millimeter wide butt joints ensure that the rainwater is directed to the underlying stone and the roof remains waterproof.
