Integrated smart home system in the prefabricated house

Especially in the area of new buildings, the topic of technology plays a major role. Even though a smart home system can be integrated into an existing property at a later date, one in three new prefabricated houses is already equipped with an integrated smart home system during the planning stage. This is shown by the results of an industry survey conducted by the German Prefabricated Building Association (BDF).

An integrated smart home system brings many advantages to the residents. The technical preferences of the future occupants should be discussed with the builder during the planning phase. The builder can coordinate the desired technical equipment with the structural details and, for example, prefabricate empty conduits or integrate the required lines in walls and ceilings. This has the advantage that the issue of wiring different devices is no longer an issue afterwards.

Those who want radio-based networking can also discuss these requirements with the builder. Nowadays, house manufacturers have a broad portfolio of technical solutions and systems. These range from automated heating control to so-called application scenarios in which, for example, the awning retracts when a frahling sensor detects wind. So there are hardly any limits to the technical possibilities and features when building a prefabricated house.
