Tip: half-timbered houses with prefabricated modules

They are beautiful to look at, not so common anymore, and nowadays they can be built with the help of prefabricated modules. We are talking about half-timbered houses. If the individual compartments (Gefache) of the wooden framework were filled in former times still with a loam straw mixture, the module building method experiences today a new upswing. This is pointed out by the independent building consultant "Hausberater".

In the modular construction method, the truss structures are not manufactured on site by the carpenter - as is usually the case - but in the planning office of an architect. The truss constructions are later assembled on the construction site. The advantage of the truss constructions is that they can be replaced.

The compartments in the modular construction method can be provided with different materials. These include, among others, wooden meshes made of stakes and rods with clay throw (Klaiben), clinker or clay bricks with plaster. In addition, various transverse and support bracings such as the St. Andrew's Cross or Wild Man can be selected. The cross and support braces have regional characteristics.
