Model project 2.0: Application deadline extended

Local authorities have until Thursday, September 30, to apply for the "Co2ntracting: build the future!" model project of the German Energy Agency (dena). This means that dena has extended its application deadline. It is looking for municipal properties throughout Germany, such as schools, administrations or hospitals, whose annual energy costs per building amount to at least 150,000 euros.

If the application is successful, dena will provide participants with energy-saving contracting (ESC) consultants free of charge. Among other things, these consultants act as intermediaries between energy service providers and customers (in this case, local authorities) and help them find out how energy and ultimately costs can be saved.

"Co2ntracting: build the future!" is part of the project "Competence Center Contracting: Implementing efficiency measures with a savings guarantee". The model project is being implemented by dena on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
