Competition: "10 Years Efficiency House Plus

The German Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Building and the Home Affairs (BMI) and the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) have launched the "10 Years of Efficient House Plus" theme competition with prize money totaling 60,000 euros. The competition is aimed at schoolchildren, students, trainees and other interested parties who would like to get to grips with the subject of Efficiency House Plus and energy-efficient construction, climate protection and working, living and working.

Entries can be submitted in five different categories. In "Category 1: Image", for example, photos, freehand or computer drawings and collages can be created. In "Category 2: Film", animations, computer simulations or films with real people are in demand. In "Category 3: Student projects", the realization of student projects on the subject of Efficiency House Plus is desired. In "Category 4: Model locations", interested parties are to present model projects of the Efficiency House Plus initiative - educational buildings in an exemplary manner. Category 5 is a painting competition for children and young people.

The entry and a fully completed and signed entry form must be submitted to a so-called competition office by Sunday, October 31. An interdisciplinary jury will evaluate it. On Tuesday, December 7, the BMI and the BBSR will then announce the winners at the 10th anniversary celebration of the Efficiency House Plus initiative.
