Lighting: Saving costs through good planning

The portal "bauen.de" advises builders to think about lighting before building a house. In doing so, they should find answers to various questions. According to bauen.de, these include the following: "What rooms are there and what light is needed there at what time of day?", "What intensity and temperature should the light have?" and "How should the light be controlled?

However, builders should bear in mind that requirements can vary from room to room. While a bright light in the hallway is advantageous for finding things quickly, it can seem uncomfortable in the bathroom. Dimmable lights are therefore an option there, which can be adjusted according to individual needs. In rooms such as children's rooms or study rooms with a desk, natural light through windows is advisable.

The portal points out that subsequent changes with regard to lighting are possible, but sometimes entail high costs. Therefore a light planning is meaningful in the apron, with which among other things lamps into the floor plan are drawn. What builders can also think about when planning the lighting before talking to the architect, interior designer or electrician, they can find out at bauen.de.
