New construction: Applications for funding can be submitted again

As of today, applications can once again be submitted to KfW for the "Efficiency House/Efficiency Building 40 (EH/EG40) - New Construction Subsidy with Modified Subsidy Conditions". The new-build promotion for residential and non-residential buildings as part of the Federal Promotion for Efficient Buildings (BEG) is thus starting again. It is limited until December 31. A budget of 1 billion euros is available for new construction funding.

However, Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, assumes that the new-build subsidy will be exhausted very quickly. To ensure that as many applicants as possible benefit from the new-build subsidy, the subsidy rates have been reduced and the subsidy conditions changed, among other things. For example, the installation of gas heating systems will no longer be subsidized in future.

The realignment of new construction funding is to take place in three steps: the relaunch of the EH-40 new construction funding with adjusted funding conditions, the EH40 sustainability program, which only allows new construction funding in combination with the quality seal for sustainable building (QNG), and finally a new program entitled "Climate-friendly building".
