In order to ensure greater energy efficiency, resource conservation and sustainability, the German Facility Management Association (GEFMA) and the German Business Initiative for Energy Efficiency (DENEFF) have concluded a cooperation agreement. Through the cooperation agreement, GEFMA and DENEFF also hope to achieve a stronger exchange between their own members and decision-makers in politics.
"Sustainability is a responsibility for society as a whole. Associations and initiatives are the bridge builders between companies, politics and science. We are delighted that we are now launching our cooperation with DENEFF. This will increase the necessary momentum for change on the way to a climate-neutral real estate industry," says Martin Schenk, Chairman of the GEFMA Executive Board.
DENEFF expects the cooperation to be particularly beneficial in terms of climate protection. "Facility management is a key discipline for climate protection," says DENEFF founder and Managing Director Martin Bornholdt, "especially in the operation of buildings, there is enormous potential for CO2 and energy savings in the short term through greater energy efficiency. Efficiency is the strength of facility management".
