A special area for modular construction can be seen from Monday, April 17, to Saturday, April 22, at the "BAU" trade fair in Munich. The special area can be found in the atrium between the A and B halls. In addition, manufacturers and architects will be presenting various projects in the Communication Area in Hall B0 from Monday to Friday at 1 pm.
Serial construction has been known for decades and, according to the organizers, could help to achieve the target of 400,000 apartments per year. However, even the Federal Minister of Construction, Klara Geywitz, believes that the target set by the federal government will not be achievable until 2024.
In addition to "Modular, serial, prefabricated construction", the key themes of the trade fair include "The challenge of climate change", "Digital transformation", "The future of living" and "Resources + recycling". The trade fair is open to visitors from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 9.30 am to 4 pm. Day tickets are available from 29.50 euros (reduced 17 euros). They can be ordered at bau-muenchen.com/en/visitors/visit-plan/purchase-tickets/.
