Saving energy: Congress in Solingen

Companies that have developed innovative and sustainable technologies for the renovation of existing buildings can still apply for the "German Renovation Award". The technologies must be designed in such a way that they meet the EU climate targets for the renovation of existing buildings. The companies can present their ideas at the "1st German Renovation Wave Energy Saving Congress" on Friday, August 26, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the Klingenhalle, Kotter Straße 9, in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The three best ideas will be awarded prizes.

There will also be lectures at the congress. Speakers include climate researcher Hans Joachim Schellnhuber and chemist Michael Braungart, who have received several awards for their work in their respective fields. However, visitors can not only listen to lectures, but also visit an accompanying trade exhibition.

Tickets for the event cost between 149 and 199 euros. The organizer, Smart-Klima GmbH, points out that this is an advanced training event that is recognized by the Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia with four hours. Tickets and further information on the "1st German Renovation Wave Energy Saving Congress" are available at renovation-wave.de.
