Fraud: Consumer advice center warns of nasty scam

The consumer advice center warns against a scam via e-mail regarding an alleged subsidy program of the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). The KfW does indeed offer subsidy programs, but not an "inflation protection subsidy program".

Criminals have written an e-mail with the KfW logo. Their aim is to obtain personal data. In the email, they write that the European Central Bank is offering an opportunity to hedge against impending cost increases. At the end of the e-mail, users can click on an "Apply now" button. However, this does not lead to KfW, but to another page.

The link should therefore not be clicked on under any circumstances - there is no corresponding promotion. Data should also not be entered on the linked website, as it could be misused for criminal purposes.
