The Building Owners' Protection Association (BSB) has commissioned a short study entitled "The ten most common mistakes when building and renovating detached and semi-detached houses with heat pumps (avoid)" from the Institute for Building Research. The study shows what builders of detached and semi-detached houses need to pay particular attention to and how mistakes can be avoided.
According to the BSB, the ten most common mistakes include disregarding distance rules in a row of terraced houses, operating a groundwater heat pump without a permit and inadequate hot water preparation with a heat pump. Among other things, the brochure provides interested parties with tips on how to rectify, settle and avoid damage.
The brief study also sheds light on technical principles and provides recommendations for policy-makers, plumbers, heating installers and building owners. Interested parties can download the short study free of charge at bsb-ev.de/politik-presse/analysen-studien.
