Roofers and electricians will cooperate in future to pool their knowledge of photovoltaic systems. This was decided by the Central Association of German Electrical and IT Trades (ZVEH) and the Central Association of German Roofers (ZVDH). As part of the cooperation, further training courses on photovoltaic systems are planned, among other things.
The aim of the cooperation is also to promote innovation in this area. According to the ZVEH and ZVDH, roofers and electricians should prepare themselves for the use of innovative materials, exchange information on technical regulations or learn more about new technical solutions. The training courses are aimed at all company employees working in the relevant field - from trainees to qualified roofers and electricians to managing directors.
"Planning and installing a photovoltaic system on roofs and connecting it safely to the grid requires comprehensive technical and legal expertise in addition to technical training. If we want to implement the ambitious plans of the German government, as well as future EU requirements, the players involved must be able to do this," says ZVDH Managing Director Ulrich Marx. This can only be achieved if the qualified specialist trades work together while retaining their respective core competencies.
