For the survey, the portal examined factors such as the "number of doctors", the "crime rate" and the "number of parks", but also the "number of daycare centers", the "average hourly wage for a babysitter" and the "average rent for a three-room apartment" in 30 cities.
According to the study, Berlin has a particularly large number of child-friendly activities, restaurants and parks. Nuremberg impresses with affordable childcare, a low crime rate and the same number of doctors as in Berlin. Münster also scores highly with affordable childcare. There are also many doctors and the crime rate is lower than in cities such as Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg.
In addition to the best, the "savoo" portal also identified the worst cities in terms of family friendliness. These are Augsburg, Leipzig and Chemnitz. Those responsible attribute this in Augsburg to the low number of daycare centers, in Leipzig to low wages and a high crime rate and in Chemnitz also to low wages, but also mention the advantages of these cities.
