He himself admits that this is an experiment, but schoener-wohnen.de author Jan Kahl dared to try it anyway. In a series of pictures, he shows what alternatives there are to the Christmas tree. For example, a wooden ladder can be decorated with Christmas decorations, fairy lights and fir greenery to create a Christmassy flair.
Arrangements in shades of green and berry, metal Christmas trees or Christmas trees made from pampas grass can also be used as Christmas tree substitutes. Poinsettias made of paper also bring Christmas spirit into the apartment or house. Reusable wooden Christmas trees are also suitable.
If you don't want to spend a lot on Christmas decorations, but still don't want to do without them, you can look for a branch in the forest with a few twigs on it. This can then be set up at home and decorated with a few Christmas baubles, for example in bronze, rose and gold tones. Interested parties can view the photo gallery at schoener-wohnen.de.
