Interested parties can apply for the German Timber Construction Award, which is endowed with a total of 20,000 euros, until Sunday, January 15, 2023 at deutscher-holzbaupreis.de/online_einreichung/. The prize is awarded to buildings and building components that are predominantly made of wood, wood-based materials and other renewable raw materials.
Architects, developers and timber construction companies that plan, develop or manufacture buildings or construction systems can take part. In addition, institutions from research, development and teaching, for example, can also submit projects in the "Components/Concepts" category.
The winners of the prize will be announced on Tuesday, May 16, at the "Linga" trade fair in Hanover. In addition, some of the winning projects will be presented in the traveling exhibition "Holz. Building. Architecture - Designing, Constructing and Building with Wood", which is technically and financially supported by the German Federal Environmental Foundation.
