Who is the best carpenter in Europe and the world? That will be determined from July 5 to 8, 2022 at the European Carpentry Championships in Cologne and from October 12 to 17, 2022 at the "WorldSkills" in Shanghai. The team management and coaches have now announced the German squad.
Journeyman Philipp Kaiser from Rot an der Rot is a candidate for both the European Championships and the World Championships. Journeymen Benedikt Pfister from Wolfertschwenden and Marco Schmidt from Thalmässing have also been nominated for the European Championships. Isabel Peters from Fehmarn, Julius Bruder from Berghaupten, Lukas Baumann from Jagstzell and Jonas Lauhoff from Martinfeld are also part of the national team.
The national carpentry team consists of the best young journeymen and women in the carpentry trade. As a rule, they have already achieved very good results at the German Championships and the Carpentry Contest. The team is coached by team leader Roland Bernardi and his deputies Andreas Großhardt and Simon Rehm. They are supported in their work by other partners.
