Since May 1st, newly built houses in Baden-Württemberg must be equipped with solar roofs. The energy advice service of the consumer advice center points this out. Existing properties must be retrofitted from 2023 at the earliest. This so-called solar obligation will then also follow in other federal states.
In Berlin and Hamburg, the installation of solar systems will be mandatory for new residential buildings from January 2023, according to energy advice from the consumer advice center. The obligation will then also apply to existing houses whose roofs are being renovated. In return for the solar obligation, owners will benefit from subsidies from the Federal Subsidy for Efficient Buildings (BEG), among other things.
Anyone who wants to know whether their roof, balcony or garden is suitable for a solar energy system can get advice from the experts at the consumer advice center's energy advice service online, by phone or in a personal meeting.
