The term "Detox" is primarily associated with detoxification and purification of the body or the field of cosmetics and skin care. However, "interior detox" is also playing an increasingly important role in the area of living. In order to live healthily and feel completely at ease within one's own four walls, a few steps of the "Interior-Detox" principle should therefore be followed.
In order to create a healthy living environment, it is first necessary to thoroughly clean the rooms. Thus, the premises should be freed from house dust, mites and mold. Regular shock ventilation helps to eliminate house dust, as the higher humidity can better bind the dust. Once the house or apartment is cleaned, the second step is to clean out items and furniture that are no longer needed or required. Unnecessary decoration also provides for the accumulation of dust and should therefore be reduced to the minimum.
With the development of a sustainable organization strategy and the creation of sufficient storage space, all everyday objects find their place. When it comes to interior design and the selection of furniture, natural materials such as wood, glass, leather or concrete are particularly in demand. Plastic and aluminum should be avoided, as they contain pollutants that are harmful to the environment. The use of green plants improves the indoor climate and exerts a calming effect. The right choice of colors and sufficient daylight are also part of a successful "Interior Detox" program.
