The Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) also supports owners and tenants in the area of burglary protection with an investment grant of up to 1,600 euros. Funding is available for measures involving burglar-resistant doors and garage doors, various retrofit systems for windows and window frames, as well as burglar and hold-up alarm systems, hazard warning systems and solutions for security technology for smart home applications.
The subsidy is aimed at owners of one- or two-family houses, first-time buyers of a refurbished house or apartment, homeowners' associations consisting of private individuals, and tenants. The amount of the subsidy depends on the cost of the measure to be carried out and can be calculated on the KfW website.
The investment grant can be linked to other KfW funding programs, for example in the area of energy-efficient refurbishment. Further important information and fact sheets on the investment grant as well as forms for applying for the grant can be downloaded from the KfW website. It is important to apply for the grant before starting the measures.
