Nowadays, mobile accommodation is becoming increasingly popular and represents a new and modern form of living for many people. It is not uncommon for mobile accommodation to be used as a primary residence. No wonder, because in mobile living owners achieve not only a high degree of flexibility, mobility and freedom, but also a high level of living comfort coupled with an appearance and equipment that resembles a small house.
Due to the increasing interest in mobile accommodation, the range of so-called "mobile homes" has also grown. These include tiny houses and mobile homes as well as container houses, modular houses and caravans. One of the key differences between the types of "mobile homes" is mobility. While trailer homes and houses on wheels can be driven from place to place with a towing vehicle, similar to a caravan, mobile homes without their own wheels require a crane truck to transport the house to the desired site.
It should also be noted that when transporting the mobile home with a towing vehicle must comply with the traffic regulations prescribed by law. Due to the specifications of the approved trailer size, the size of the house on wheels is also specified at the same time. Mobile homes that are moved with the help of a crane are not subject to any traffic law limitations and are therefore freer to choose the size of the living space. Regardless of whether the "mobile home" is moved on its own wheels or has to be relocated using a crane truck, an official building permit is required as soon as the house is permanently located on a plot of land. Only on a pitch on a campsite is no building permit required.
