Platform: Digital energy world

On its "Digital Energy World" platform, the German Energy Agency (dena) is bringing together players from various sectors to jointly develop new strategies for a digital energy world. The main aim here is to leverage advancing digitization and the use of digital processes for the energy industry and for all areas in which energy is used. This includes the energy industry as well as the areas of mobility, heating, IT and building automation as well as finance and logistics.

The aim is to initiate a second phase of the energy transition, characterized by digital networking and interconnection of all players in the field of energy supply. On the "Digital Energy World" platform, stakeholders exchange information about the latest developments in the field of digitalization. Likewise, they develop recommendations for action for different sectors and industries and offer participating companies the opportunity to position themselves as innovative players.

Whether the development of an energy-saving app or an innovative technological application for tenants that allows them to control their heat consumption, the topics are diverse. The joint exchange is as much about the development of smart homes and the topic of e-mobility as it is about smart grids, Industry 4.0 or customer orientation. Another overriding goal of the project work is to achieve public acceptance so that the digitization of the energy world can be professionally developed and shaped.
