Living arrangements: Living in old age

Seniors want to live a self-determined life. This was the finding of the Ipsos market research institute, which conducted a quantitative and qualitative survey of 1,124 seniors and 74 industry experts across Germany on behalf of the Carestore Group.

This revealed that 74 percent of respondents would like to live in the center, in regular or upscale residential areas. The study also shows that services such as assistance with visits to the authorities, car sharing and help with online issues are more important to seniors than health care in the residential complex.

In addition, the seniors surveyed want to participate in life: Around 60 percent would like to pursue leisure activities outside of senior facilities. Also important to the respondents is their independence, without having to live alone. Interested parties can view all the results of the study at carestore.com.
