Hartmann Möbelwerke GmbH from Beelen has launched a furniture podcast that also deals with environmental protection issues. So far, the three episodes "Welcome to the Hartmanns", "Peace is our most important raw material" and "Happy Birthday - 111 years of Möbel Hartmann" are available on Spotify. Among other things, the first episode answers why the furniture podcast exists. The second episode looks at the impact of the Ukraine war on the German furniture industry, and the third episode is all about the company's history.
The idea for the podcast came from the commercial director and fourth generation of the family business, Katharina Hartmann, and managing director Holger Hanhardt. The plan is to establish a regular podcast. Every two months, a new podcast episode will be available at moebel-hartmann.com/podcast.html.
Hartmann Möbelwerke relies on its own photovoltaic systems to generate electricity and on a closed water cycle in production. All wood residues from furniture production are used to heat the factory halls and administration buildings. In addition, a new tree is planted for every tree used in production - that's around 7,000 new trees per year.
