The Bauherren-Schutzbund (BSB) has commissioned a short study entitled "The ten most common mistakes in the new construction and renovation of EFH and ZFH with heat pumps (avoid)" from the Institut für Bauforschung. This shows what builders of single-family houses (EFH) and two-family houses (ZFH) must pay particular attention to and how mistakes can be avoided.
According to the BSB, the ten most common errors include disregarding spacing rules in a row of terraced houses, operating a groundwater heat pump without a permit, and inadequate water heating with a heat pump. Among other things, the brochure provides interested parties with tips on how to rectify damage, settle claims and avoid losses.
In addition, the brief study also sheds light on technical fundamentals and provides recommendations for action for policymakers as well as for plumbing and heating installers and building owners.
