Attracting more trainees to skilled trades is the goal of the German Chambers of Skilled Crafts (DHTK) in collaboration with its partner Meta. On various social media channels, the DHTK is therefore now using a video to draw attention to, among other things, the numerous professions that exist in the skilled trades. For example, interested parties can train to become a metal worker, an electrical machine builder or a motor vehicle mechatronics technician.
According to the DHTK, not only can visible change be achieved through skilled trades, but skilled tradespeople can also play a part in climate change. "Through their career choices, young people can contribute to greater sustainability. We are very pleased to showcase the trades' career offerings on our social media channels, where young people can get information, share content and interact with each other," said Eva-Maria Kirschsieper, director of sustainability for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Economic Area (EMEA region) at Meta.
Interested parties can watch the video on Facebook (facebook.com/handwerk/videos/516825113436841/), Instagram (instagram.com/p/CksWJtuKEXp/) or Twitter (twitter.com/MetaGermany/status/1589897941862735873). On the handwerk.de website, they can also find information on apprenticeships in the various skilled trades, get career and application tips, and use an apprenticeship radar for training and internship positions.
