In order to pool knowledge relating to photovoltaic systems, roofers and electricians will cooperate in the future. This has been decided by the Central Association of German Electrical and Information Technology Trades (ZVEH) and the Central Association of the German Roofing Trade (ZVDH). Among other things, further training courses on photovoltaic systems are planned as part of the cooperation.
The aim of the cooperation is also to drive innovation in this area. According to the ZVEH and ZVDH, roofers and electricians should prepare themselves for the use of innovative materials, exchange information on technical rules or learn more about new technical solutions. The training courses are aimed at all employees of a company working in the relevant field - from trainees to skilled roofers and e-tradesmen to managing directors.
"Planning and installing a photovoltaic system on roofs and connecting it safely to the grid requires not only training in the craft but also extensive technical and legal expertise. If we want to implement the ambitious plans of the German government, but also upcoming requirements from the EU, the players involved must be able to do this," says ZVDH General Manager Ulrich Marx. This can only be achieved by the qualified trades working together, while retaining their respective core competencies.
