A special area for modular construction will be on display at the "BAU" trade fair in Munich from Monday, April 17, to Saturday, April 22. The special area can be found in the atrium between the A and B halls. In addition, manufacturers and architects will present various projects in this regard in the Communication Area of Hall B0 from Monday to Friday at 1 p.m. each day.
Serial construction has been around for decades and, according to the organizers, could help achieve the target of 400,000 homes per year. However, even the Federal Minister of Construction, Klara Geywitz, does not consider the target set by the German government to be achievable until 2024.
In addition to the theme of "Modular, serial, prefabricated construction," the trade show's guiding themes include "The challenge of climate change," "Digital transformation," "The future of living," and "Resources + recycling." For visitors, the show is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Day tickets are available from 29.50 euros (reduced 17 euros). They can be ordered at bau-muenchen.com/en/visitors/visit-plan/ticket-purchase/.
