The Bundestag has passed the "BauGB Digitization Amendment". This is intended to speed up the urban land-use planning process and promote digitalization in the construction planning process. "This law will make it possible to build and plan apartments more quickly. Now housing for families, students and people on lower incomes can finally be built more quickly," said Klara Geywitz, Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Construction. She also referred to the important "reconstruction clause". This allows the reconstruction of houses and essential facilities to begin quickly after disasters.
The amendment also contains provisions to facilitate the construction of wind and solar energy systems and to improve the provision of exemptions and exemptions under building planning law for social facilities such as schools and advice centers.
