The Berufsgenossenschaft der Bauwirtschaft (BG BAU) is introducing new regulations and services in 2024. These include the 4th hazard tariff, which reorganizes the calculation of contributions by assigning hazard classes to the tariff points. This change affects companies in the prefabricated house construction and prefabricated part production sectors, which are assigned to other branches of industry.
A new reporting portal for social insurance will also be introduced to replace the previous sv.net system. This portal is used for the encrypted transmission of social security notifications and requires registration with an Elster company certificate.
From 2024, accidents at work and occupational illnesses must be reported electronically to employers' liability insurance associations and accident insurance funds. BG BAU provides an online form and the customer portal "my BG BAU" for this purpose.
