Outdoor cooking is becoming increasingly popular and, according to the "Die Moderne Küche" (AMK) working group, is becoming a sociable highlight for family and friends. A tailor-made outdoor kitchen, which is weatherproof and conveniently equipped, transforms a balcony, terrace or garden into a place to enjoy. "The outdoor kitchen ensures short distances when barbecuing and guests can join in at any time. The additional work surface and the large storage space for barbecue equipment are also beneficial," says AMK Managing Director Volker Irle.
The design of an outdoor kitchen is based on individual requirements and the available space. From a simple wall unit to a free-standing cooking island, various concepts can be realized. A variety of dishes can be prepared on gas or charcoal grills, gas or induction hobs as well as teppanyaki or plancha grill plates. A special outdoor refrigerator keeps drinks and ingredients fresh; an intelligent waste system and a sink ensure tidiness and cleanliness.
(Amateur) chefs also have numerous options when it comes to the choice of materials: They are available in stainless steel and aluminum, for example, or with wooden fronts for a natural look. Weather-resistant materials and corrosion-resistant fittings guarantee durability and functionality. Ceramic, natural stone or stainless steel are available for the worktops. According to AMK, specialist dealers not only offer comprehensive advice on the products, but also on the necessary power and water connections.
