A milestone has been reached in a project to develop a grid-supporting photovoltaic storage system. Under the coordination of the Center for Applied Energy Research (CAE), an innovative converter storage unit is entering the demonstration phase, which is designed to smooth out power fluctuations in photovoltaic systems caused by cloud movement.
After the three-year development phase, a corresponding demonstration system was installed on the roof of the energy supplier ÜZ Mainfranken. This phase marks a decisive step towards validating the system under real conditions.
The NetPVStore project aims to provide renewable energy in grid-supporting quality while offering energy and economic benefits. The feasibility and efficiency of the system is now being tested and validated in practice with the installation of the demonstration plant. Further information is available at cae-zerocarbon.de
