Photovoltaic systems with connected battery storage offer the decisive advantage of increasing independence from the public power grid. Users can cover the majority of their electricity requirements themselves by storing solar power generated during the day and using it as required. This not only significantly reduces energy costs, but also improves the household's energy efficiency.
According to ADAC, a photovoltaic system with storage and an output of 25 kilowatt peak (kWP) costs 31,570 euros. However, the financial outlay can be significantly reduced by government subsidies. These financial incentives are designed to support the transition to renewable energies and make investing in solar systems more attractive.
When looking at offers for a solar energy system, interested parties should check whether or not installation is already included in the price. If this is not the case, the corresponding costs must be added. The operating and maintenance costs must also be taken into account. These amount to around one to two percent of the purchase price per year and include the cost of a smart electricity meter and insurance.
