Heat pumps and photovoltaic systems (PV) can significantly increase the value of a property. This is the result of a study by an online platform for residential and commercial real estate. According to the study, buildings with installed heat pumps experience an increase in value of 43 percent. The integration of PV systems can increase the value of a property by up to 20 percent.
Both technologies are particularly widespread in new buildings, which generally have a higher construction quality and better energy efficiency classes. This is reflected in higher sales prices, which makes investing in such environmentally friendly systems financially attractive. The analysis also suggests that market values for properties with sustainable technology will continue to rise as demand for energy efficient homes grows.
The study also shows that many homeowners in Bavaria in particular are investing in environmentally friendly technologies. In Landshut and Amberg-Sulzbach, for example, 20 percent of houses for sale have a photovoltaic system, in Erding and the Freyung-Grafenau district the figure is 19 percent each and in Mühldorf am Inn 19 percent.
