As of today, applications can again be submitted to the KfW for the "Efficiency House/Efficiency Building 40 (EH/EG40) - new construction funding with modified funding conditions". The new construction subsidy for residential and non-residential buildings within the framework of the Federal Subsidy for Efficient Buildings (BEG) has started again. It is limited to December 31st. A budget of 1 billion euros has been set aside for the promotion of new construction.
Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, assumes, however, that the new construction subsidy will be exhausted very quickly. To ensure that as many applicants as possible benefit from the new building subsidy, the subsidy rates have been reduced and the subsidy conditions changed. For example, the installation of gas heaters will no longer be subsidized in the future.
The reorientation of the new building subsidy is to take place in three steps: the restart of the EH-40 new building subsidy with adapted subsidy conditions, the EH40 sustainability program, which only allows new building subsidy in combination with the quality seal for sustainable building (QNG), and finally a new program with the title "Climate-friendly building".
