The Ethouse Award 2022 from the ARGE Quality Group Thermal Insulation Systems (QG WDS) was recently awarded in Vienna. This prize is awarded to those responsible who, with regard to refurbishments, implement the topic of energy efficiency holistically and thereby set architectural impulses with a composite heating system. The prizes in the categories "Public Buildings", "Residential Buildings with Commercial Use" and "Residential Buildings" went to those responsible for the Brixlegg elementary school, the Linz town house and the Hauffgasse residential complex in Vienna's 11th district.
For the elementary school in Brixlegg in Tyrol (category "Public buildings"), the ARGE Architekturhalle Wulz-König ZT KG with ILIOVAarchitektur and the ETICS processor Hans Bodner BaugesmbH + CoKG. excellent. The refurbishment ensured a 100 percent supply of renewable heating energy and reduced energy consumption by more than 80 percent.
In the Stadthaus Linz project, implemented by mia2 Architektur ZT GmbH and the facade builder Markmont GmbH (“residential building with commercial use”), the heating requirement was reduced by around 80 percent as a result of the renovation measures. The Hauffgasse residential complex (category "residential building") was renovated by the GSD Gesellschaft für Stadt- und Dorferneuerung mbH together with the ARGE Porr Bau GmbH and the Zinglbau GmbH on behalf of the BWS, non-profit general construction, housing and settlement cooperative.
